After the R5, it is the turn of another cult model of the Losange to be reinterpreted as a concept car. On the occasion of the 2022 Paris Motor Show, Renault unveils the Renault 4EVER Trophy, a style study that takes the form of a modern and electric version of the Renault 4. The one commonly called 4L thus becomes a small SUV, which pays tribute to the solidarity attack of the 4L Trophy.
Whoever says SUV, necessarily says a little muscular. At the front of the concept car, the horizontal grille is particularly detailed. There are round Matrix LED lights, which surround an illuminated Renault logo. The hood is hollowed out by an air intake intended to “optimize the operation of the radiator”. The taillights adopt a capsule-shaped pattern, a nod to the original 4L. The Renault 4EVER Trophy has a silver body color, set with pink inserts.

The car sits on 19-inch rims, mounted on wheels with compressors, so tire pressure can be regulated from the cabin. It is also equipped with a carbon roof rack with a spare wheel. A shovel and grit plates are stored in the top of the tailgate. The Renault 4EVER Trophy is 4.06 meters long, 2.1 meters wide and 1.9 meters high. The wheelbase reaches 2.57 meters.

The French manufacturer gives little information on the technical sheet of its concept car, but indicates that the car is based on the same CMF-BEV platform as the future electric Renault 5. The lithium-ion battery of the concept car has a capacity of 42 kWh.

According to the manufacturer, this Renault 4EVER Trophy should not remain a simple concept car. The car is a precursor to a future electric SUV that Renault wants to launch in 2025. In terms of positioning, it should be to the electric Renault 5 what the Captur is to the Clio. The future SUV, preceded by the 4EVER Trophy concept, will in any case be produced in France, at the ElectriCity center in the north of the country.
