If the presentation of concept cars by the other brands of the group overshadowed it a bit, Mobilize still shone with a thousand lights on the Mondial de l’Auto. The Renault Group brand dedicated to new mobility took advantage of the major Parisian event to show its ambitions. It wants to pave the way for accessible and affordable sustainable mobility. Mobilize wanted to show that there are concrete and smart solutions to change our relationship with mobility. One of these solutions is Duo, her 100% electric two-seat four-wheeler, of which she revealed the playful and functional interior. Mobilize also presented its network of ultra-fast charging stations that it plans to launch near highways. A network called Mobilize Fast Charge, which will offer relaxation areas and services to all its users.
Duo, a solution for urban mobility

Designed primarily for car sharing, Duo will also be aimed at individuals and professionals, but only on a subscription basis. Flexible subscriptions from 3 months rent for individuals. Mobilize offers a service package through its subscriptions, including maintenance, insurance and charging solutions. Duo is 100% electric and has access to the Low Emission Zones (ZFE) used in most major cities. This micro vehicle fully expresses the values of the Mobilize brand. This aims to break the codes of the traditional car and promote new forms of mobility that are more attractive and fun. Its ultra-compact size makes it easy to move around in the most crowded urban environments and easy to park. In addition, its autonomy of 140 km gives it a comfortable range for urban and peri-urban use.
A functional and durable design

To stand out in city traffic, Duo opts for a city-proof style, robust and durable. A style inspired by the world of video games and gaming, with a nod to the 80s and 90s. Eco-design and the search for sobriety led to the development of Duo. This is to achieve the target of more than 50% recycled materials in manufacturing. Thanks to its functional and durable design, Duo is also meant to withstand the effects of fashion. The cabin is practical and comfortable. Duo has a wide and comfortable cabin, completely enclosed to protect the occupants. Simple and intuitive, the dashboard allows any new user to master the vehicle with ease. Open and connected, Duo’s electronic architecture also makes it possible to offer scalable services and facilitate data sharing.
Mobilize will deploy a fast charging network

At the Mondial, Mobilize also presented its future network of ultra-fast charging stations: Mobilize fast charging. A network that it will launch in collaboration with Renault dealers to facilitate recharging during long journeys. The stations will mainly be installed on sites of the Renault network, less than 5 minutes from a motorway exit. By mid-2024, the network will have 200 stations in Europe, including 90 in France. The brand plans to open an ultra-fast charging station on the main roads in France every 150 km. Stations are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and accessible to all electric vehicle drivers. Each station will offer 6 ultra-fast charging points up to 400 kW. In time, Mobilize Fast Charge wants to become one of the strongest networks in Europe.
Relaxation and service areas

A network in which Mobilize wants to ensure that waiting during charging takes place in optimal conditions. For example, drivers of electric vehicles have access to a quiet and comfortable relaxation area. A space where they can drink coffee or a snack, use WiFi or charge their smartphone. They can even play it on the console before hitting the road again. In addition, to reduce the impact of the stations, the charging system will be based on an intelligent energy management system. A system combined with stationary battery-powered storage from electric vehicles and, at some sites, solar energy production via photovoltaic panels. The storage system will be able to deliver an instantaneous power of 600 kW. Enough to deliver high power even in the case of multiple simultaneous charges.
