It’s official, Renault will present a reinterpretation of the Renault 4 at the Paris Motor Show in 2022. The mythical 4L is entitled to offspring, which takes the form of a tribute concept car. Designed by Gilles Vidal and his team, this new Renault 4 is one of the stars of the brand’s stand at the Losange during the Paris Motor Show.
A few days before the official presentation, this electric concept car, inspired by the Renault 4, is already beginning to reveal itself through unpublished images. Lurking in the shadows, the car still reveals some of its features. Like this backlit grille with, among other things, two LED squares and an illuminated Renault logo.
A small SUV that looks like an adventurer
In the photos published by the French manufacturer, we also see the camera mirrors with which this modern Renault 4 concept car is equipped. High on wheels, the concept car seems to take on an off-road style. And that is quite normal, because according to Losange’s words, it also wants to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the famous 4L Trophy solidarity car raid.
A concept with large wheel arches
On the roof of this modern reinterpretation of the Renault 4 are roof racks that can accommodate a load. At the time of writing, the back is not yet visible, but we do see LED lighting that is divided into three small blocks, aligned vertically. The wheel arches, on the other hand, look particularly large.
As a reminder, the Mondial de l’Auto will take place from October 17 to 23, 2022 at the Paris Expo Exhibition Center at Porte de Versailles, in Paris. The Renault stand is located in Hall 6. The presentation of the modern Renault 4 concept car will take place on Monday, October 17 at 9:00 am, during the day reserved for the press.

What will the electric Renault 4 presented in 2022 look like?
Not yet revealed at the time of writing, the concept car that reinterprets the famous Renault 4 takes the form of a small SUV that looks like an adventurer. The first images revealed by Renault show a grille with an illuminated outline. This includes two LED squares and an illuminated Renault logo. The concept car also has huge wheel arches, roof racks and vertical LED lighting at the rear.
What is its autonomy?
Renault does not provide information about the engine of its new electric 4L. However, this concept car must be electric and potentially have a few hundred kilometers of autonomy. Since the car pays homage to the 4L Trophy solidarity car raid, it could have significant autonomy just to be able to circulate in the desert without worrying about recharging.
What price for the electric 4L?
For the time being, the electric Renault 4 released in 2022 is a concept car. The manufacturer at Diamond does not seem to be planning any marketing. It is therefore impossible to give an estimate of the price of this car.
What is the release date of the electric Renault 4?
The Renault 4L electric concept car will be presented live on October 17, 2022 from the Paris Motor Show 2022 at the Paris Expo Exhibition Center at Porte de Versailles in Paris. It will then be visible until the end of the show, October 23, 2022. Marketing does not seem planned.
