Yvelin start-ups spotted at the tech fair

January 2023 marked the return of CES Las Vegas, the world’s largest gathering of tech players. 170 companies represented French Tech, including Yvelines start-ups.

The start-up from Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, Chocolate Chip Cookie Company, presented its adventure game Ohm’s Quest: a game console in escape game mode. Figure C4

The Ile-de-France region had selected 16 start-ups to represent it at the Consumer Electronics Show from January 5 to 8, 2023, the largest showcase in the world what is being done in the technologies of today and tomorrow.

Some of these companies belong to Yvelin : E-XTEQ (Clayes-sous-Bois), Chocolate Chip Cookie Company (Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines) and Oledcomm (Vélizy-Villacoublay).

Ohm’s Quest, Escape Game for the home

You wish you could create an Escape Game with friends, at home or anywhere ? It is now possible. The start-up of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, Chocolate Chip Cookie Company presented its adventure game Ohm’s Quest: a game console in escape game mode. In the form of two play cubes, Ohm’s Quest offers several multiplayer adventures.
The console leads teams of adventurers of all ages through time and space with “sound and light” stories that stimulate the senses: hearing, seeing and feeling. Chocolate Chip Cookie Company was incubated at SQYCub from 2017 to 2019 and at IncubAlliance in 2020.
Consisting of a series of sound and light stories where you are the hero, Ohm’s Quest invites you to solve puzzles and mysteries with your friends and with the help of Miss Ohm in order to move forward and save the world. New stories will come to enrich the console.

E-XTEQ: facilitating the repair of electric car batteries

The solution presented in Las Vegas could to facilitate the repair of electric car batteries. An important issue for the automotive industry.
What happens to used batteries from electric cars? E-XTEQ innovates to ensure optimal use of this technology. Since 2017offers this SME from Clayes-sous-Bois solutions draw up a full health status of the batteries to charge or discharge them. All this outside the vehicle!

“It is really our specificity because treating the batteries in this way makes it easier to repair them and avoids transporting the whole car,” explains the management of the Yvelin clog.

Oledcomm, the connected light

This Vélizy-Villacoublay company has already been rewarded in Las Vegas for the first desk lamp with LiFi (Light Fidelity) technology.. With its flagship product, MyLiFi, the lamp can establish LiFi communication with a computer! The principle? Light emissions are used to transfer information. A technology that also works when the lamp is off. Signals can replace WiFi… This LiFi technology has already been rolled out in certain metro stations and many other applications will soon see the light of day.
Today, Oledcomm continues to improve LiFi technology for wireless communication using LED light. At CES, the Ile-de-France nugget has been unveiled LIFIMAX2Gthe new LiFi data transfer solution for industry 4.0 and the transport of the future.

According to Oledcomm, LiFi technology becomes particularly suitable for subways, trains and any vehicle that needs to download huge amounts of data from the station, counting in terabytes in less than 20 seconds, as well as Industry 4.0 applications such as virtual and augmented reality, the Internet of Things or machine-to-machine. “The staggering increase in the amounts of data collected in a mobile situation, as well as the proliferation of multimedia streams, require a reliable and uninterrupted communication standard for everyone, especially in transportation and factory 4.0,” Benjamin explains in the press release. Founded in 2012 in Vélizy-Villacoublay, in Yvelines, as a spin-off of the University of Paris-Saclay, Oledcomm now has about twenty employees. His solution LiFiMAX has reportedly been deployed and tested in over 800 projects worldwide.
